Georgia Cash 4's $1 Straight/Box ticket can show a payment of $2,600 for an exact match and $100 for another qualifying order when all four digits differ. The $2,600 already includes the Box component. Adding another $100 would count that part twice.
The cleanest way to understand the ticket is to split the dollar before looking at the result. Fifty cents buys Straight and fifty cents buys Box. The final payment follows from which of those two purchased conditions the drawing satisfies.
Start with a four-position selection
Choose four digits from 0 through 9, allowing repetitions and leading zeroes. A Straight selection on 0478 requires exactly 0478. A result of 4780 fails that exact-order condition.
Box checks the distinct arrangements of the same four digits. Four different digits have twenty-four orders. The chance of one specified exact order is 1 in 10,000; broader arrangement coverage comes with a different prize schedule.
The complete play type matters. A full-dollar Straight wager and a dollar divided between Straight and Box are different purchases even if they show the same digits.
Split the dollar before adding payments
For four different digits, the 50-cent Straight component pays $2,500 if its exact order hits. The 50-cent twenty-four-way Box component pays $100 for a qualifying arrangement.
If the exact selected order is drawn, both components qualify and total $2,600. If another arrangement is drawn, only the Box component qualifies and pays $100. That explains the two figures in the official Straight/Box row.
For a selection of 0478, 0478 is the exact-match case and 4780 is a rearranged-match case. The digits are identical as a set, but the two outcomes satisfy different portions of the split wager.
Repeated digits change the box component
One pair plus two other different digits creates a twelve-way pattern. The published $1 Straight/Box payments are $2,700 for exact order or $200 for another qualifying order.
Two pairs create a six-way pattern, paying $2,900 exact or $400 rearranged. Three identical digits plus one different digit create a four-way pattern, paying $3,100 exact or $600 rearranged.
In every case, the exact payment combines the $2,500 Straight component with the appropriate 50-cent Box component. Repetition changes the arrangement group and Box amount; it does not mean the fifty cents on Straight has quietly become a larger wager.
Count a pattern without counting duplicate swaps
Consider 0047, 0044 and 0004. The first has one pair and twelve orders, the second has two pairs and six, and the third has three identical digits and four.
For 0004, the four orders are 0004, 0040, 0400 and 4000. Swapping two zeroes does not create another displayed result. This is why the same four-position ticket length can lead to different Box rows.
Check the repetition pattern before reading the payment. A four-way amount cannot be applied to four different digits simply because the ticket contains four digits. “Four-way” is an arrangement count, not the game's name or the selection's length.
Combo purchases full exact orders
Georgia's listed Combo prices are $4, $6, $12 or $24 for the four-, six-, twelve- or twenty-four-way patterns. A qualifying result pays $5,000 on those listed tickets.
That is not the same as the $1 Straight/Box purchase. Combo buys each distinct order as a full-dollar Straight entry. Straight/Box puts half a dollar on one exact order and half on an any-order condition.
For four different digits, comparing $5,000 with $2,600 while omitting the $24-versus-$1 purchase price gives an incomplete picture. Work out the full cost before repeating either selection across several drawings.
Keep 1-Off and the drawing session separate
Cash 4 also offers 1-Off, with its own exact-match and neighboring-digit schedule. Do not borrow a Straight/Box payment for a 1-Off result, even when the digits happen to match exactly. The printed wager controls the comparison.
Georgia has Midday, Evening and Night drawings daily at 12:29 p.m., 6:59 p.m. and 11:34 p.m. Eastern. Check the session and drawing date before comparing positions, then use the corresponding official prize row.
Keep the original ticket secure and use official validation for possible wins; the published claim period is 180 days. For other available formats, see the Georgia game directory. For Straight/Box, the arithmetic stays manageable if you remember that the exact-match figure already includes both halves of the dollar.
